The center of the map is a pool of orange juice with MARI'S picnic right by it. The other shop, which is the NPC GALLIPOT, sells ORANGE JUICE, PEACH SODA, and MILK for 150 CLAMS. The MAILBOX here sells WAFFLE, PANCAKE, BERRY SMOOTHIE, AIR HORN, and LIFE JAM. The west side is host to a PLUTO'S SPACELINE station, a shop, a TOFU CONCONNASISSEUR who trades various high-quality SNACKS for 10 TOFU, and the main attraction, DINO'S DIG. WILY mentions that ORANGE OASIS' population is filled with creatures that have existed for a long period of time, and plenty of its landscape can be used for development. The "sand" is brown sugar, various structures are made of bread or pastry, and even some of the roaming creatures are part food item.

The battle BGM used exclusively for JACKSON's encounter is labeled boss_jesse in the game's files. These were scrapped for unknown reasons, but can still be accessed by hacking or through using mods. Like all enemies in FARAWAY TOWN, JACKSON was originally intended to have emotion states. It is possible to run away from the fight, allowing SUNNY to refight as many times as he wants until defeating him.JACKSON presumably references the character Dad from the 2006 flash game 'Dad n Me'.JACKSON shares the same battle background with DUST BUNNY.JACKSON is only FARAWAY TOWN enemy with the HEADSPACE aesthetic for his design, most likely due to SUNNY imagining him that way alongside a few other hallucinations related to the imaginary dream world. If SUNNY uses his basic attack every turn, he can defeat JACKSON relatively quickly. As stated in the battle, you cannot escape from this battle, but losing it will allow you to fight JACKSON again. After four turns, JACKSON will "catch" the player on the fifth turn, zooming the screen and dealing 999 damage. Every turn, JACKSON will slowly inch towards the player. The battle begins (presumably in the player's imagination). *This enemy's moveset is practically scripted, following a set pattern before initiating the final turn. Each calculation is done independently from the previous ones, so the added percentage is not 100%. If the calculation fails, they move on to the second skill and so on, until reaching the final skill which is guaranteed to activate.

AI SKILL*įor the first to fourth turn, JACKSON will slowly approach the player.įor the fifth turn, JACKSON will deal 999 damage, ending the fight if the player doesn't defeat him first.Įvery turn, each enemy will start by trying to use the skill listed at the top. This means they will do between 80% and 120% of their regular damage. Inspecting the poster post-battle leads to KEL repeating his previous comment he mentioned before.Īll skills, unless stated otherwise, have a 20% variance rate. The duo then obtain the MERRY CD once SUNNY regains his senses. KEL tries snapping SUNNY out of his funk but notices a CD that fell behind the poster. If SUNNY loses against JACKSON, he will be taken back to the overworld but his HP and MP aren't affected as the battle is revealed to have taken place within SUNNY's head.ĭefeating JACKSON transitions the screen back to the overworld, where SUNNY is shown to be fazed from his "encounter" with JACKSON. Doing so will lead to a short, imaginary sequence where SUNNY faces off against the monster, whose name is known as JACKSON. SUNNY is then given a prompt to challenge the monster to a battle. When inspecting it, KEL will comment that the monster on the poster looks realistic while noting that fighting it would be tough. On any day within HOBBEEZ on the SUNNY ROUTE, there is an "interesting poster" found on the top right corner of the shop.
